To the outside world I looked like I was doing well; behind closed doors I was totally overwhelmed and could not figure out what I needed to do to "fix it". Does that sound familiar?
In 2021 as we were coming out of the pandemic, I knew it needed to change. I had worked my way up in various companies, my last role being Head of Operations for a Finance company. I loved building teams up, and the people in them, designing processes that solved problems and made things work smoothly. I loved my work and the people I worked with but being a perfectionist with high standards it was taking its toll. In my personal life I was also dealing with a lot, cPTSD, chronic pain and fatigue, and ‘then’ undiagnosed ADHD and Autism, all issues that are exacerbated by stress.
So I left my job and concentrated on recovery. At that time, I had to reduce my world into a tiny circle. As I improved, by learning about myself and building my own wellbeing toolbox, I became really intentional about what I let back in.
Nowadays, I am not striving for perfection, I am embracing imperfection and seeking peaceful contentment.
In a world that often feels hectic, you receive the time and space to pause, breathe and reflect. I am compassionate, and empathetic yet also practically-minded. As a certified professional life coach, I use the GROW model of coaching, building you up, helping you see the best in yourself when you are being too critical, and celebrating the small wins while working towards your bigger goals.
I've supported people from diverse backgrounds and situations, believing in the importance of everyone embracing their true selves and enjoying their lives. I join you wherever you are, supporting you in uncovering what truly resonates with you. I believe small steps can make a big difference, and by taking them at your own pace, you can create a ripple effect of positive change for you and those around you.
It is empowering to realise your life doesn’t have to resemble anyone else's; it just has to work for you. Together, we can uncover what that looks like and take steps to make it a reality.
I have trained and mentored hundreds of individuals throughout my career, spanning from entry-level positions to management and executives. Additionally, I've provided career coaching, neurodiverse executive coaching and been a professional life coach to people at various life stages. Witnessing people flourish is the greatest inspiration.
In business consultancy, I've served as a trusted sounding board for self-employed individuals, assisting with problem-solving and promoting work-life balance to enhance their success.
Volunteering with a grassroots food bank, I offered debt and money guidance to individuals and families in need, alongside over twenty-five years of support for the homeless and financially or socially disadvantaged.
I am passionate about supporting young people in the care system, currently as an Independent Visitor. As an active member of various peer support groups - ME Support group, ADHD Support group, the Expert Patient Program - I prioritise mutual learning, and personal growth.
In my personal time I thrive on engaging with my local community through events, coffee meetups, and walk & talks. Meeting new people or old friends and sharing stories creates meaningful connections and new perspectives.
